'Tacky' solution to Dounreay reactor core problem

Here at Bostik we are often told about the ingenious ways in which people have used blobs of Blu Tack to solve a problem, but this one is new to us!

Thrifty scientists at Dounreay power plant have used Blu Tack to retrieve pieces of radioactive metal from the inside of the station’s Prototype Fast Reactor, saving thousands of pounds in the process.
